Lupita Figueiredo
Capacity PR, Media & Communications' Principal Lupita Figueiredo worked in television, radio, and print as news reporter for the most part of her career at Telemundo-48, La Opinion, Univision-14 and other media outlets. She has also worked for local government in Oakland and San Francisco. In 2007 she founded Capacity PR.
Lupita brings a wealth of experience and strong media presence to promote businesses, government programs, and community organizations, connecting them with multicultural communities.
She graduated from Leadership California's
2008 "California Issues and Trends" Program. In 2006, she won a GLAAD national media award for outstanding
Spanish-Language newspaper article; in 2004 was finalist for a John
S. Knight Fellowship at Stanford University.
When she was 18 years old, she co-produced and co-hosted a daily television program "Entre Amigas," and was public relations director for a youth arts organization in Mexico. As a 9 year old she organized several fund-raising events such as parades and comedy shows for her school in Sinaloa, Mexico.

She currently is spokesperson/media specialist for the 2010
US Census. She is also working on projects with the Marin County Registrar of Voters Office, the English Center, and other clients.
She produces Lupitanews, an electronic newsletter in English and Spanish.

public affairs and her capacity to get results while connecting
